The site

You’ve found my blog. It’s a casual space for me to write about what I am doing, what genuinely interests me, or just whatever comes to my mind.

I started it in 2025 mostly to write about my travels. I gave up my home in Germany to travel extensively for a while. In most unix-y shells, the tilde (~) is used as a substitute or representation for the user’s home directory. Hence, the name untilde.

Me

I am a human from Germany that likes computing.

I enjoy running through shady spots on sunny days, creating things with computers and cameras, travel, coding tiny tools and arranging samples and synthesized beeps. I am curious about learning from and connecting with different cultures. I’m also fascinated by urbanism, the contrast of rural and city living, organization, self-sufficiency, and permanence.
